Kaleb and Sophie
No explanation necessary. Kaleb continues to talk incessantly and is beginning to train sophie. I overhead him the other day telling Sophie.." Be careful with this train, God has given it to me to take care of.." He is eating us out of house and home and likes to dress up like a cowboy. When in the car he says.." who is that...what are they doing.. where are they going..why did they do that.." He is getting into remote control cars and likes to ride his tricycle ( finally pedals) He still talks about our dog Lamar ( that he never played with and has been gone for a year) sometimes this is accompanied with tears :( Favorite toys: Lego mac toys, lincoln logs, farm animals. and the most favorite---- Stuffed animals... Thunkin is still around but gets less play time. He has a little bed and blanket, but these days it is baby pony, and salad ( a tiny dog)... Oh and teddy bear, little teddy bear....
Kaleb did an experiment at breakfast the other morning.... He was having a 'spot' of hot cocoa with marshmallows and noticed they were floating. He began to try different things to get them to sink... He would say..." what happen I... stir it poke it,etc " We are pleased he appears to have a scientific mind.
Sophie loves the bathtub, check out the hair. She is going to be a handful, very willful but she is just so cute :) Her hair is everywhere and only a pony tail on top keeps it at bay. Potty training is still going, but it really depends on how she feels how well she does. We are working with her on obeying and going when we tell her to. She says..i am going to do this OKAY...or i like this OKAY... she says ok louder and it is funny. When we hold hands to pray she grins really big. She sneaks out of her bed and loves to wear bows these days. Her favorite outfit is her play dress ( white with flowers) or her purple play dress ( which is actually pink). She likes purses, dolls, and her little beanie baby animals. Tongue out is a usual posture and she has a name for all her blankets: blankie, ha ha , princess blanket, pretty blanket, and blue blanket. She does everything Kaleb does and is still tough as nails! She also likes all things JUMPING and will frequently just begin hopping about for no real reason, just because. She loves apple jacks which are actually generic fruit loops, i messed up and there is no going back now :) I recently took her out just the two of us and she said she wanted to go swimming. We sat on lounge chairs and we girltalked. When i asked her what she wanted for lunch she said...hot dog..
They are at a fun age and are beginning to play games... Hide and seek which looks like----"sophie i am going to hide in my bed, you come find me... " They also play tag, which consists of the two of them chasing each other saying "tag it tag it tag it.".. after a while kaleb says, sophie you are chasing me...

House Update...
Well, It's been awhile since I've updated everyone on the house. We have been so busy it's not even funny! Every night last week Jennifer and I painted. We also painted all day Friday and Saturday. She finished one more coat on mine and Matt's bedroom Sunday afternoon. I was at home with Eli while he was napping. I am so over painting! Anyways, we were trying to get it done, cause when the paint is done we can get the floors done. All the bathrooms have tile in them and we are waiting on the hardwoods to get moved from the two bedrooms and put in the kitchen/living room area. Then we are ready for carpet and cabinets, baseboards, crown molding, and trim. Yes I said trim. We still have to paint all the trim white. Anyways, enjoy and if anyone wants to help Saturday with cutting up trees that Tommy pushed down last weekend then please come :) Tommy pushed down like 10 trees. Most of them were damaged or little.
Kitchen/living room area. Also another cream color I got from Pottery Barn. This color is what most of the house is. We like a very neutral light color on the walls.
Eli's room. He loves it and did a dance.
Matt and Tommy put our decking on our porch last Sunday afternoon and then Clifton and Eli showed up and helped Matt and Tommy screw it down. Eli was such a big help.

Bye Uncle Mike! We will miss you!
Well, Uncle Mike got accepted into Vet School at St. George, Grenada! He's so excited and we are very excited for him, but also a little sad. We won't get to see him for 4 months. He gets to come home for Christmas for a month. He will be there for 3 years. I guess we will have to go and visit :) We have been trying to spend as much time as we can with him this past week. Here are some pictures from tonight. He leaves tomorrow to go to Nashville and then leaves Tuesday for Grenada! We miss you already and love you!
Eli and Daddy. Matt is making sure Michael has everything to take and doesn't forget anything.
Grandad and Nana got Eli this "ELI" train. He loves it!
