Sibling bonding

This is Kaleb teaching Sophie how to slap him five. When something good happens on their little shows,he wants her to slap him five. I have no idea where he came up with that , but it is very cute :)

Kaleb had his 3 year well check up and aside from giggling at all the tests, he did say one notable thing. Dr. Clary said, " so, you had a birthday, " Kaleb, replied "no! it is Jesus' birthday!" Merry Christmas, everyone... Kaleb is looking forward to seeing all of the cousins, he is ready to play!

Ode to Suzanne

This is Clifton and I just ( 30 min) after sophie was born. Suzanne had a picture on her blog after the birth of little Benjamin and she thought she looked bad, so this is love!!! This, however, is 30 minutes after! For you sickos who want the real thing, i will be happy to email it to you. ( suzanne already has it) But, it is not for the world wide web. I mean, come on, this site is for adoring grandparents and casual readers. I don't want to ruin anyone's lunch! You can still see the puffy face and blood shot remnants, which stayed for several days. Sorry, to interrupt the cute baby pictures. But, isn't little Sophie, cute? Merry Christmas!

Kaleb's 3rd Birthday

Kaleb's birthday was Wednesday, Dec 5, but we celebrated with my nanny and poppy on the Sunday before. Grandma made him a thomas cake. It is tradition to sing loud and very off key so Kaleb was "hiding" as if that would help!

On his birthday he had his first friend party. We celebrated Kaleb's birthday with the cousins plus The bohannon's and Josiah our new friend from care group. This picture was pretty interesting to get! Christian was going to come but was a little snotty.... ( which ironically, it turns out just about everyone at the party was brewing the bug...we are still in the throws of it...)

This is Kaleb looking at his cake,he was so sweet, he just kept saying Wow, wow! He loves frosty the snowman and always wants to sing it, so it seemed fitting to have him a frosty party!

At age 3 Kaleb is still very sweet. He loves his little sister and likes to play with cars, Bob the builder toys and also his train. He likes to pretend and we never know what he is going to say. He has the habit of saying that things are " Dusty" He also says, I help you, i help you...all the time. He does not nap but "rests" this just means that he stays in his room and plays for 2 hours. He also really likes to play with sophie;s baby stroller, ( but don't tell clifton i told you) When i asked him what he wanted for his birthday he said, " my very own stroller" He likes to read books and knows about 6-7 letters and lives to sing the abc song. He gets himself dressed and wears underwear even at night. And boy can this kid giggle! Happy Birthday Kubby! ( he still calls himself that)

Sluss Family Christmas tree

As the tradition goes, we set out to find and cut down the perfect tree. It was Dec 1st and very cold! Even though most of the action went to kubby sophie had a ball just running everywhere!

Here is the whole gang in our winter garb. This is Clifton's mom and his stepdad allen. Or Nanna and pawpaw...

After we found the tree, which actually took a little while. Kaleb took his first go at the tree. He cut down his first tree and was absolutely delighted!

You can see the pure glee in this picture! I don't know if it was the tool or the rush of the "TIMBER" but he just loved it.

After all that hard work we needed to go back to the barn for some hot cocoa! The reindeer ears are also tradition, It is the only thing i brought to it. can you imagine getting a tree without wearing reindeer antlers? How did they ever do it for some long without me? he he he
