Eli's First trip to the ZOO!

Eli, Pop's, Ashley, Kaleb and I went to the Zoo on Saturday. It was Eli's first trip out of the womb. He did so good. He didn't take a nap that morning, so we went napless. Right before lunch he finally took a little 30 min nap or so. It was a little chilly, but we all had a great time. Thanks Stephanie for letting us borrow the jacket and the pullover for Eli.

My tired little Eli.

Eli and Kaleb in front of the bear exhibit. No bears.

I'm not so sure why they have this at the Zoo, but we had a little fun with it.

Dad held Eli up to this berry tree.

Kaleb is going to be a rock climber some day. He climbed on every rock.

Kaleb and Eli on the fence.

Eli riding on Pop's shoulders.

Looks like Kaleb knows what he is doing. Grandpa would be proud! He took all the grand kids to the field when we were young and he taught us how to drive a stick shift in his jeep.

Check out Eli's hair! You can finally see his top teeth. They are getting SO big!

Lunch time. Now I know why we always take our lunches. Kind of high on the food prices!

I thought this was a cute picture of Kaleb.

We wore him out!

Dad bought Kaleb this visor. He loved it. It was the only time the whole day Kaleb would smile at the camera! It's such a cute picture I think.

More Christmas

This year we decided to start a new Sanders' family tradition. We bought new Christmas pj's for the whole family to wear on Christmas morning...Abigail and I are sporting the reindeer look while Jeremy and Luke are wearing moose!

Jan and I bought these hats for the boys for their first Christmas.

Nana bought Abigail an easel for Christmas...here she is writing on her new chalkboard...meanwhile Luke is enjoying himself underneath!

Jeremy bought me a new hat, gloves & scarf set...isn't it cute (don't make fun of the tree in the background!)

We got Luke his first big tonka truck. We thought he was probably tired of playing with all of Abigail's princess toys!

Speaking of the princess...we bought Abigail a new Cinderella dress with a matching crown and glass (plastic!) slippers. She has worn it every day since Christmas!

Luke enjoyed the wrapping paper more than anything!

Me and my boy! Isn't he cute!

Pops with Luke & Sophie...you are going to have to get a bigger lap, Dad!

Abigail and Luke with Ruthie and Grandpa. They sure do miss living across the street from them!

Pops bought Abigail a new Little Mermaid talking kitchen. After many hours of labor...Jeremy and Clifton finally got the thing put together!

Pops bought us new Cracker Barrell rocking chairs for Christmas. We love them! We've sat in them everyday on our new front porch!

Thanks to all of our family for your amazing generosity! We are so grateful for all the MANY gifts that we received this Christmas. We are truly blessed by God to have such a wonderful family. We love all of you!

Crawling and Pulling Up!

I was gone last Friday getting my hair cut and I called Matt when I was done and he told me that he took Eli's pants off cause he looked like he was about to crawl and I had a sleeping bag down over the hardwood and it was hard to crawl on it. After that Eli started crawling. I was sad that I didn't see it, but super excited. He's probably been able to crawl for weeks, but I didn't know about friction (as Clifton told me). So, now he crawls and crawls and crawls. He also pulls up on everything! I'm waiting for out first ER visit. Needless to say, I went yesterday to Babies-r-us and got stuff to baby proof our house.

Eli's first Christmas with us!

Every year at Matt's work they get to choose from a whole list of stuff to pick out for Christmas. So, this year they had a HUGE CAT truck and dozer and Matt got it for Eli. Eli loves it. Of course it's too big for him now, but when he really knows whats going on he will enjoy it even more.

Eli and Daddy. He absolutly loved to open his presents. It was so fun watching him.

I don't know if this is a guy thing, but he loves his big lego truck.

This activity walker was on sale the day after Thanksgiving at Walmart. When we got it out I knew why it was on sale. Michelle has one that you can adjust how fast it goes when you push it and this one just goes FAST! We put it down and when he's ready to walk and can walk well, we will put it back up.

He kept wanting to grab the stuff on the front while he was walking with Daddy.

Christmas Pictures

Taking a break of playing with his toy to smile. This is our 3rd stop of the day and can't you tell Matt is tired!

Cheesy as always.

What a mess!

Nanny and Poppy got my uncle Ken a Butt/Face towel. Too funny!

Looking up at Mama and smiling!

This is my favorite Christmas picture. I had just got him up and changed his diaper and was getting him dressed for the day and I snapped this picture.

Judy, Jennifer, and Eli. Super cute!

Eli loved to open up his gifts.

Uncle Michael just got back from NY and he got Eli this shirt for Christmas.

Guess who's reindeer antlers are? Yea, Stephanie's. Eli keep trying to look at them. It was so funny!

TEETHING! HELP!

OK, Matt and I need some help with teething. Eli only slept 3 hours last night and didn't sleep too much today. I put him down at around 8:20pm tonight and he woke up about 30 min. later and then put him back down and woke up about 15 min. later. He looks SO SO SO tired, but he's not sleeping well. He's had a fever on and off for about 3 days now and the doc said he looked fine and it was probably teeth. ANY IDEAS ON WHAT I CAN DO TO HELP HIM SLEEP???

Playing with Uncle Tommy and Santa

This is a Santa that sings Jingle Bells in English and Spanish. Matt's Grandmother got it for him. He LOVES it.

This was taken today at Nanny and Poppy's. Eli wasn't too happy, but it's still cute!
