15 month Check Up

Well, Eli had his 15 month check up today. He weighs in at 24lbs and is 31 and something inches long. To my suprise he is only a little under 50% in height and weight. But he catches up with his head. He is 90% for his head! I notice his head daily when I put shirts over his head. He's doing much better than last week at this time.

This is Eli this morning. He's learned how to turn his chair and sit on the back. Very talented :)

I bet ya'll are all looking at his head to see how big it is. If you want you should go to the archives and go to July of 2006 and look at his 3 month pictures. He's grown into his head!

New York Shirts

Sophie's shirt is way too big, so i tied it up in the back 80"s style, Kaleb said, " oh, sophie looks like a bunny!" He is all about simile and metaphor lately. I like this picture because kaleb is smiling and he NEVER does for pictures :) Good job jan!

Hanging out at Dad's house.

Everybody, but Jeremy and Michelle and the gang came over to Dad's last Sunday night. We had a fun time. Daniel, Elizabeth, & Michael were also there. Fun times!

I snapped this picture while Eli was sitting down. I thought it was a neat picture.

Isn't she just a cutie?

Eli with Michael. Michael was gone all weekend , so he came to see Eli on his way back home. Eli loves his uncle Michael.

Everybody just hanging out.

Dad, Kaleb, Eli, and Shirley.

The boys talking about who knows what...

Eli's week of sickness.

My poor little boy was sick last week and we had another trip to the ER. Last Saturday we were all up at Dad's house and he's got this ball pit and Eli literally dives into the balls and Saturday night he did that like he always does and he screamed out and continued to cry all night, till he finally fell asleep. He wasn't using his right arm at all, so when he woke up at 4am Sunday morning and was screaming and laying flat on his back looking pitiful and still not moving his right arm, we knew we had to take him to Children's. The doctor said that it could be nursemaids elbow, but since he wasn't even moving his hand or anything he thought he might have broken his forearm, so we went for x-rays. They didn't show anything and the doctor said that he could pop his elbow back in place if we wanted or just wait and see what happens. We went for him popping it back in place. He did and felt it pop, so he knew that's what he had was nursemaids elbow. Eli was fine after that and has played great with his right arm. I also had to take him to the doctors last week. He had a sinus infection and an ear infection. He has to take antibiotics for 20 days! Poor thing had a 102 fever for about 3 days. On and off of course. It was so sad. He's ever had a fever like that for so long. Now he's fine and still a little stuffy. Enjoy the pictures.
I bought him a balloon.

He just chilled on our bed all week.

I've learned my lesson :)

Look at his cheeks... They were that red the whole time he had his fever.

Watching Luke and Abigail...

Last Monday I got to watch Abigail and Luke while Michelle went to a Salon Visage class at UT. They asked her to be a model and you can't pass it up! We had a great time while she was gone. Here are some pictures to show it.
Abigail was reading to Eli and I. Luke was still sleeping.

Eli got excited about what she was reading. Look at Abigail's sweet face she is making.

Up close picture of Abigail reading. I didn't read the book she was, but I think she was making it up. It was really good. Great imagination.

Eli riding the horse. I know, he looks so excited!

Where's Luke???

Luke standing in his chair. I know, probably not the safest, but I was right there watching him.

This may look like Abigail is just pretending, but she really knows how to get on the Internet and get to this great site to play on. I don't know if I could have done that at 3 1/2.

Abigail with Eli's Diego rolling backpack.

Sophie's new dollhouse bookcase

Nanna and Pawpaw (Clifton's mother and step-dad) came over last night bearing a very special gift. Kubby is laying in the bottom of Sophie's new doll house bookcase. Allen made it for her and Nanna painted all the flowers.

Sophie can actually fit into the bottom shelf. This picture shows the entire book case. I am excited to get her room organized and keep her favorite books on the shelves for her. Especially, since she LOVES books.

Kaleb now has to have a book to use the restroom and requires much longer to "complete the mission" This just gives Sophie more time for her thievery

Sophie Update

I have been working with Sophie on taking care of her new doll. She loves to hug it and then hands it to me to hug. However, she also like to hug it upside down and always abruptly drops it when she is done. She is not quite ready to hold a real baby yet, but it is very cute.

She also enjoys riding toys-Frontwards, backwards.... Kaleb even likes to push her.

These days it is all things book! She brings me books all day long, does the sign for book and then hands it to me to read. She smiles , bounces and loves it! Her favorite book is a "old Macdonald" soft book that fits on your hand and each finger is an animal. I sing the song to her and she LOVES it. I think she started singing yesterday...eeee...oooo...eee.oooo So sweet. Her little singing voice is high, much different than her husky jabber voice.

Whenever i loose sophie during the day, i can usually find her swinging in her swing 'wildly'. This is the type of thing that would horrify a grandmother. She really gets going and is even learning how to pump her legs. Sometimes they BOTH get in the swing.

This is our neighbor Ms.Dot- Sophie loves her! She goes to the edge of the porch and waves and calls for her. Even though Ms. Dot does not feel well, she cannot resist Sophie calling for her and she will often come over. She always says.." i can't pick her up," but ALWAYS does. Kaleb likes her too, but Sophie even said her name yesterday.... at least she said DDddda and pointed to her.

Sophie is continuing to be crazy! She and Kaleb have begun to chase each other around and around, giggling. It usually ends with Kaleb crying-not Sophie. She also eats all day long! She is quite portly and will often times outeat Kubby. Her very favorite thing conitnues to be waking kaleb up in the morning. She bursts through his door laughing and jumps on his bed. I am usually too busy watching it to tape it, but I must document that!

We are very thankful for her - she makes things fun. She is like clifton- she loves books and is crazy!

Random pictures of Eli over the past couple of weeks.

I let him eat breakfast in bed the other morning. He loves to sit in our bed! Which is good, cause it's out in the living room.

Matt wanted me to go and get Eli a chair. I found this one at Target and I think it suits Eli well. He LOVES it!!!

Peek-a-BOO!

Eli lays on the floor when he gets tired and just plays.

Eli being silly.

Just hanging out in the floor.
