Beautiful weather and another trip to the Zoo

Here is Eli SO excited about Diego or Bob the Builder. I don't remember which one.

Driving with Daddy! Just up and down the driveway.

Here he is helping Daddy water the plants.

ZOO

We finally got them trapped!

Michelle and Steph sat down with Sophie and Luke.

Eli loves to ride the carousal. Last time we rode on the Eagle and this time I think it was a jaguar. Watch out!

We always run into someone from church. We ran into Jennifer, Kelly, and Heather this time. There were kids everywhere!!! 10 actually... WOW!

Playing in the Mulch!

Michael came over and mulched today. Eli wanted to be outside the whole time. I took him out there and let him down to play in the flower bed. He only tried to eat some things a couple of times. He loved it!

I ordered him some things for his birthday party and he's playing with the box. I was making the same face to get him to smile and he did the same thing. He's into doing what you do these days.

Catching up...

I didn't post any pictures last week I don't think, so here they are. Michelle and I went to the park and the Zoo last week. Stephanie was at home with two snotty kids all week.

At the park Abigail met two girls. She kept running from them and she said, "Aunt Jan... I can't stop running!" It was too funny!

Those two girls were kept chasing her and at one point starting throwing dirt at Abigail. You are thinking... Where are the parents of the two girls??? They were just talking.

I put a flower in Abigail's hair. Here it is... cute!

There she is sporting her new sunglasses.

Here is Eli looking out the window at Uncle Michael today while he was mulching our flower bed! Thanks again.Eli just chillin' at the park.

Luke and Eli.

If ya'll are wondering where this park is, it's in Claxton. It's right passed the steam plant (TVA) if you are coming from Solway. It's got a "Tot Land" for 2-5 year olds with smaller slides and everything else like the big ones for the older kids. It's super nice. We loved it and so did Abigail and the boys. Abigail missed Kaleb though. She kept asking if he was coming.

Yeehaw!

I think he is about over the camera.

My little model.

He loved the tractor!

He looks so big in this picture!

"Click, take a pic." Eli LOVES Diego!

It is about time....

I think this is the verse we are on, but it has been so long , i will have to admit i am not quite sure. Looks like January 28th, turned into March 12th :)

Week 15: God's beauty
"One thing have I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to inquire in his temple."
Psalm 27:4

I think it is just Mom's outfit that looks like Michelle...he he he he.... We understand mom it was the 70's...

Mushrooms

Well, for some reason I'm on a mushroom kick. I've made them all weekend. If you know me and how picky I am you might be a little shocked. Anyways, I am looking for new ways to make them. I found this way cool website (Mushroom website) and it tells you all about mushrooms. I also found hundreds of recipes that look great! Here is one I think looks very good. I've never had a portabella, but I'm sure I'll like it. Enjoy and I hope this will help everyone out when looking for some mushroom recipes.

CRISP PORTABELLA "FRIES"

INGREDIENTS
4.00 medium portabella mushroom caps (about 1 pound)
1.00 large egg
0.33 cup plain dried bread crumbs
0.25 teaspoon salt0.13 teaspoon ground black pepper
2.00 tablespoons vegetable oil
DIRECTIONS
Cut portabellas in 1/2-inch thick slices. In a small bowl beat egg with the salt and pepper; on a plate, spread breadcrumbs. Dip mushroom slices in the egg mixture then coat with breadcrumbs shaking off excess. In a large skillet, over medium heat, heat oil. Add portabella slices (do not crowd); cook, turning often, until golden on all sides, about 5 minutes. Repeat with remaining mushrooms.
YIELD: 4 Portions

Bedtime, Zoo, and Park

Well, we had another busy week in the Kirkpatrick household. Trips to the park, Zoo, Grandma's house, doctors, and Brenda's work.

Eli woke up like this the other morning. It's not a very good picture, but I think you can see his hair just fine!

Here is Matt reading to Eli last night. Eli was so tired and sat right on Matt's leg and let him read a bunch of books.

ZOO

We went to the Zoo with Michelle, Abigail, and Luke last Wednesday. Sophie woke up snotty, so Steph kept her kids in. We had a great time. We ran in to Suzanne, Johanna, and Heather. Also, they had their kids with them as well :) Enjoy the pictures.

PARK
We also went to the park again this week. Some of the highlights of the park were that Kaleb ate dirt. Fun times!
