Sophie's 1st Birthday Party

We had a party for Sophie on Friday, July 6th. It was our entire family (25+) and don't forget the kids! She sat with me for a while to open her presents, but not too long! She got a new dolly from her aunts which included a diaper bag and stroller. She hugs her doll and can put it in the stroller. She also really likes a worm toy she got from Nanna. We are going to use the money she got to buy her some new pj's and to help with a play kitchen for her room. Everyone was very generous!

After we opened her gifts we had pink cupcakes. Or cuppy cakes as they say on Sesame street...

After that we did a few games for the kids. We let them write with chalk on our sidewalk. Even sophie did it. Abigail was very concerned that it would wash away, so we had a quick science lesson about rain and how that could wash it away. Donna then overhead Abigail trying to give Jeremy the same lesson. She even imitated my hand gestures!

We also bought a bubble gun and let the kids take turns making thousands of bubbles! Sophie like it. But no one like it as well as Eli! Jan, you have to come over so eli can play with the bubbles some more.

Abigail was pretty good at using the gun.

Then they all played in our little playhouse. Sophie enjoyed herself, but was very tired at the end! She was so excited she would not go to sleep. Around 10 i just went in and got her, she then proceeded to clap and cheer ( i had done exactly what she wanted-she almost has me trained). She played with her toys and then we put her to bed around 11pm. A fun birthday for her.

Kaleb kept saying as her birthday neared, that it is," almost my birthday for my foot" He also said that we should have M&M's at her party. They played with all her new toys on Saturday and had a ball. I cannot believe she is one!

Stephanie, she looks so cute in that little dress with her bow. Adorable! I think we'll have to get one of those bubble guns too!
