Early Christmas Presents and more...

David and Judy got Eli a santa that holds a picture of him and santa. He loves it and wants to eat it all the time. He loved to open the gift. He ate that as well :)
I took this picture when he woke up one day.

Matt's boss gave Eli a UT jersey and football for Christmas. Eli loves the football. Matt said he holds the ball very well.

These are some pictures I took for Mom's bathroom. She's going to get pictures of all the grandkids in their bath atire
I just thought this was a cute profile shot.

Santa

Here is Eli's picture with santa. He didn't cry. Mom said that I cried in every picture I ever took when I was little. Looks like he takes after Matt.

Week 13: God's Power

"all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing,
and he does according to his will among the host of heaven
and among the inhabitants of the earth;
and none can stay his hand
or say to him, “What have you done?”

Daniel 4:35

We(care group) recently saw the Nativity story, and i was astounded anew at the circumstances of Christ's birth. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords, All powerful God, came to earth and was born in a filthy barn with animals. Our babies were born into state of the art medical facilities and then taken home to beautifully decorated rooms and drawers full of clothing. Jesus' humble birth was all God's plan... The Christmas carol, What child is this asks...Why lies he in such mean estate, where ox and ass are feeding... The answer is because God is powerful and it was HIS plan.
Michelle, you need to see the movie. Jan, tommy and I have seen it... :)

Thank you Pops and "Asher" for babysitting so I could go to see it!

The Many Faces of Eli

Eli always makes the funniest faces. He makes a lot of what I like to call "Matt faces." I captured some of them the other day.

I get this one a lot, "What are you thinking Mom? You are crazy!"

Dirty Faces and Little Mermaids

I used to think that Kaleb was dirty when he ate...but now I understand! It must be a boy thing! Abigail was such a neat eater...not this boy! He's enjoying a biter biscuit in these photos.

Goodbye Dora...Hello Ariel! Abigail has found a new love for the disney princesses...especially Ariel! She was feeling a little under the weather the last few weeks, so to cheer her up, Pops bought her a new dress! It even has a mermaid fin!

Christmas Tree Chopping

We went to Skunk Ridge Tree Farm with Nana and Pawpaw to pick out our tree. Kaleb liked riding the tractor to the christmas tree the best! My favorite part was not being pregnant. I have been pregnant for the last two years!!!

He picked up (after prompting) his own tree to take home

Clifton and Allen are carrying both of our trees. They had quite a system. Our tree in the past has been very fun to get, but not that pretty. This year, however, our tree is very beautiful.

Gas to Farm ( after getting lost, again...) $10
Christmas Tree $35
Christmas memories....priceless!

Week 12: God's freedom

"Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases." Psalm 115:3

I don't know about you girls, but this verse is very, very helpful to me. Now, maybe, I can remember where it is! Very often during the day when Sophie is screaming and Kaleb just pooped his pants... the christmas shopping isn't finished , the floors are dirty, the toilet definitely needs scrubbed, I need a haircut... out of lotion..out of shampoo... ( these are actual lists).. I am very tempted to think two things 1). I will never get all of this done 2) I never get to do what I want to do These can lead to anger towards Clifton and/or anxiety. According to this verse, the truth is.. only God get's everything done and only God does all that he would like to do. I think memorizing this one will help me. Now if i can just get the last 3 down! He he he

SNOW

These are some pictures of the snow we are having as we speak. They aren't very good pictures, but you can tell it is snowing. It's sad when you are excited about just a dusting of snow. We don't see it much here!

Week 10: God's wrath

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth."

Romans 1:18

The Bible is very clear. Everyone knows there is a God. In the quietness of our minds, when all else is gone... we all know that God is real. This truth has many implications and is very sobering.

We pray that our children would not exchange the truth of God for a lie,but would worship the creator! That is the goal of parenting, to raise children who love God!

This Sunday, December 10th, at 10:00 am we will all be dedicating our babies! That means we will all be asking God to help us in this task. This is not a baptism, but an appeal for God to save our children and give them new hearts. Please come see Baby Eli, Baby Luke and Baby Sophie... Click here for directions.

Dopey

Uncle Tommy put his hat on Eli this morning and It made me think of Dopey of the Seven Dwarfs.

This is too funny! I was doing the dishes this morning and heard him fussing a little bit and looked and he was tangled in his blanket and was sliding every where. I guess you had to be there.

Sitting in a toilet????

OK, It's a new one. Mom and Sam got a new toilet for their downstairs bathroom. I had to put him in it.

This is Eli's first time in a bathtub without sitting in something. Yeah! Mom put a towel down, cause she has a slick bathtub. Very smart thinking!

I helped Mom paint the bathroom. Tommy got to take the old toilet out and put the new one in. I told him I was glad I was a girl!

Mom has this singing snowman she got at Hallmark on year. Eli loved it!
