Sluss Vacation Part 2

Kaleb loved the ocean and especially liked the sand. He even ate some, which i would not recommend, it does not digest, if you know what i mean :) The first day we just enjoyed the beach (Temp: >70 ) and the next day(Temp: <60) we visited a pier and visited a pre-Civil War Fort.

Kaleb still sleeps in a crib so we took his tent and he slept in that. He did not like it at first ( lots of screaming) We locked him in with a luggage lock for his safety and by the second night he was diving in it! He loved it! He rested in it during the day, too. We started reading him " Most of all Jesus loves you" and he really likes it.

The last night we went to a seafood restaurant and Kaleb got to select a prize out of the treasure chest. He selected a pair of bright orange swimmers goggles. We had several hours of fun with those :) We had a wonderful time and we were very sad when Clifton had to go back to work. I woke up to Kaleb saying, "daddy gone?"

Sluss Family Vacation part 1

We went to a very nice petting zoo and Kaleb loved it. He got to hold all kinds of animals and even got to ride a train. The end of the tour was a cow you could milk. As a nursing mother, i was officially offended.

This is Sophie looking very cute in her sun hat in her first ever stroller ride

This is Kaleb's first ever OREO cookie.

The weather was very nice (upper 70's) so we went to the swimming pool on most days. Kaleb "helped" me by pushing the stroller.

Week 10: God's Jealousy

“For my name's sake I defer my anger,
for the sake of my praise I restrain it for you,
that I may not cut you off.
Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver;
I have tried you in the furnace of affliction.
11 For my own sake, for my own sake, I do it,
for how should my name be profaned?
My glory I will not give to another. "

Just a Swingin'

Here are a few pictures of Luke's first time in a swing at Nana's house. He really liked it!

This is a picture of his second time in a swing at his cousin Piersen's birthday party.

Thanksgiving with the Sanders

Abigail enjoyed Thanksgiving by making turkeys for the family (in her princess dress!). We are not sure how many oreos and candy corn that she actually ate...we lost count!

Luke's first Thanksgiving...I think he enjoyed watching football with his Daddy!

We spent most of the day with Jeremy's mom. Here is Abigail helping Nana cook.

Eli's first time in the...... "Ball Pit"

Eli had his first trip into the ball pit at Pop's house. I think he liked it. In the first picture he is talking. He also got a ride around Pop's house in the little car. He's a natural at driving. He knows where to put his hands ( at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock).

Our little photo shot and talking

We went outside and took a few pictures the other day. Here they are. The last picture is of him in his high chair talking. He's been talking a lot and mouthing "da da." I think he will talk soon , who knows. Enjoy the pictures. I didn't take any pictures yesterday of Thanksgiving. I will have to get some from the family.

Week 9: God's Righteousness

We are enjoying God's creation in Amelia Island. Check out what we got up early to see this morning.

“The Rock, his work is perfect,
for all his ways are justice.
A God of faithfulness and without iniquity,
just and upright is he."

Week 8: God's Patience and Stockings

2 Peter 3:9

9 The Lord is not slow to fullfil his promise as some count slowness, but is patient towards you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

Playing, nails, and sleeping

He loves when Matt does this. Matt goes up and down with his legs.

Just playing on the floor and decided to take time out to smile for the camera.

I let Matt trim his nails. I've cut him too many times. I just thought this was a funny picture.

I just took this picture this morning. He's been sleeping in a "C" position for some reason lately. He's like me and has to hold on to his blanket.

Eli Update

Well, Eli's doing a lot better. His cough is going away. I took him to the doctor on Tuesday and he had a double ear infection, but the medicine he was taking for his Pneumonia was helping. He pulled at his ears a lot yesterday, so I guess I'll just watch and see. He also weighed 18lbs8oz. He was 17lbs9oz at his 6 month checkup. WOW! He's been waking up about 2-3 times at night and I'm not used to that. Its been since he was little that he's done that. Michelle told me, "wait till you have 2." Thanks for all your prayers.

In the first picture Eli is just sitting on the couch leaning on the pillow and blanket. That's wait he's been doing since he's been sick. It's really sweet. In the second picture, he is eating his breathing treatment mask. The doctor said to let him play with it to get used to it. He got used to it about the 2nd-3rd time with used it.

Me at 7 months ...
Eli at 6 1/2 months.

Playtime and Teeth

I just thought these two pictures were funny. You can see his two pearly whites in the first one. He's working on a third one, but it's on the top and you can't see it.

He loves his little birdie toy thingy. He loves to sit up and grab it and play with it. He hasn't figured how to turn it on yet though. I've showed him, so we will see.

Eli loves to play with Daddy! He loves it when you put the blanket over yours and his heads and then take it off. The second picture is right after Matt took it off. Notice his hair isn't sticking up. It didn't the last time a gave him a bath. Sad day :)

My little sick boy

Eli's been coughing since about Wednesday and it was getting worse. So we went to the doctor Friday, but they said his lungs were clear. So, I called and asked a nurse what kind of cough medicine that I should give him, cause the kind I had wasn't working and she asked me to count how many times he was breathing. I did and she said that it was high and the doctor wanted to see him. So, with 7 min. left in UT's ball game, we loaded up the car and headed for Children's Hospital. Long story short, they took a chest x-ray and found Pneumonia. I have to give him a breathing treatment every 4 hours and he's on antibiotics. He's pitiful! I just can't believe how fast it came on. Please just pray for a speedy recovery! Thanks so much!
